newgroup - categories

I created a newsgroup and added categories, but the categories don't seem to
show up in the postings. Everything just gets listed without the category
showing up. You can choose a category, but it doesn't help anything and it
doesn't show up in the list of contents.

Is there a way to beat this?

The FP DW categories are just informational and will not segregate posts
