If this is the harmless startup error I am thinking of--one fix is to run
another scan and removal with Microsoft Antispyware--it should catch this
remnant and fix it.

Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select
Scan Only. Find the 04 entry for newdotnet - it will look
something like this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\Progra~1
\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~1.DLL,NewDotNetStartup -s

then check the box in front of it and Fix Checked. Reboot.
