newbie XP install problems

Attempting to install XP onto a new HD. Samsung 80g HD,
lite-onDVD, intel celeron p4 on an asus MB. I'm able to
change the boot directory with the keyboard and the system
boots from the DVD. Runs through the setting up files
routine, then sticks at the blue screen asking for ENTER
to continue with new setup, F3 for repair, and F6 (or
something) to exit. Keyboard now appears to generate 0
response (caps lock light won't even flash). Any thoughts?

Hi

I have a similar problem, only add to this that I have 2 unfinished copies
of Win XP installed on my PC.

When ever I boot the PC I get 3 options (2unfinished, 1 complete installed)
to choose from. How do I remove the other two options from the boot up file.
