HI,

How can I increase the speed of the video?

The images are stored so that the video will run on a particular
drive. Can I create a programme (convert the current programme) so
that it can be run on any drive?

Thanks.

After you publish the movie with Windows Movie Maker (WMM) and create the
..wmv file as it's output it will run on any drive or computer that is
capable of read and show a .wmv file (just about any computer with Windows
Media Player in any Windows environment.)

As for speed of the video??? You may want to review the pertinent sections
of www.papajohn.org 's web site to get information relating to any issues
you are having with WMM.

Thanks for the response.

I have the file as .MSWMM, not .wmv. How do I get this file?

I note that my images are all linked to a particular drive, I was
hoping to make the movie drive independent. Is this possible?

Best wishes.

Works for me http://www.papajohn.org/ is the full URL when in Windows
Internet Explorer.

The WMM procedure to publish a movie from the project file (.MSWMM) which
creates a .WMV file is simply to click on Publish and name the movie file.
It is somewhat dependent on which version of WMM you are using and the
version of operating system you are using.

Once you open the .MSWMM file and have all the videos in the timeline on
Vista's 6.0 version of WMM simply click on Publish Movie on the menu bar.
WMM in XP is somewhat different but not much.

You just follow the menu items to tell where you want to publish the movie
(select this computer will give best result) and follow the directions to
create the movie.

If I publish my MSWMM file to obtain an wmv file what will happen to
the original MSWMM file and the associated files?

Thanks

Nothing. They will still be on the computer.

What publishing does is simply create a new file with the name you specify,
in the location you tell it to, and "combines" all the files that are in the
project (MSWMM file) in the proper order and transitions you have specified
prior to saving the MSWMM file. When the WMV file has been created that
file can be used on the same or any other computer or even used as input to
a DVD burning program to create DVDs that will play in standard TV set-top
DVD players.
