Having trouble publishing. Have had to cancel and restart a few times.
Getting really frustrated. Here's my error. The actual filename varies
sometimes. I know that P1000315.JPG is a picture I'm uploading, but what
do I do to correct this?

Server error: Cannot rename ".P1000315.JPG.tmp"

Thanks,

Whats the URL?
Does the host have FP extensions installed...what version?

It's on Comcast's site, and they have FP extensions. I've got them
turned on. I had the site up, but when I tried updating it, I started
getting these errors. I've tried everything, including deleting the
entire site off the server and starting from scratch.

I'm using FP 2002.

Contact your host, have them check FP extensions - of if you have access to the control panel some hosts let you un-install re-install them yourself.

NB: Having the extensions installed does not necessarily mean they are working...using 3rd party ftp program to upload is #1 cuprit of busted extensions.

Check the filename.
The error refers to a file with a dot as the first character - unless this
is a typo in your message.

Ron

Nope - no error. It does indeed refer to a file with a dot in front.
Don't know why. I don't know enough about FP to know what it does with
filenames. I didn't give it that name. That's an FP concoction.

Found the problem. It's a Comcast issue - I ran out of my allotted disk
space. Oops. Thanks for the help, though.
