For a unknown reason Exchange setup wizard appears on my simple Home XPsp2 PC
It appears when I do a simple resize to send Photos, stopping access to my
Outlook express6 email.
[OE6 works OK otherwise, I can add attachments and a full sized Photo]
Exchange appears after I do a simple resize to email photos; and wants me to
set up profiles??. why
I do not have Office,
How do I get rid of exchange It was suddenly there.I could resize previously.
Please someone Help

Office must be installed or at least Outlook. Set or reset your default mail
client to Outlook Express via Control Panel-> Internet Options-> tab
Programs

hankyou for your reply
I went where you said >>programs under internet properties says
Html -[only one with dropdown] notepad.open office.
email -white blank
news group -outlook express
internet call -net meeting
calendar -white blank
contact list -addbook

In OE6 >tools >options >general says
default messaging progt his appl is not the default mail handler-Bold
this appl is the default news handler grey
under connection says Outlook express shares your internet connection with
internet explorer
I had uninstalled a older Office ages ago, whats left when I look, is Office
Size 8.42MBceated 13 4 06 contans 30 files and 29 folders;such as custom.dic
findfast.exe etcactors addons and templates a lot empty.
this has not caused a problem before;didn't even know it was there.I am sure
I have done resize since
Please I can send and receive Emails; its only after resizing.
I know how to send a screen shot [I think, jut done 1st try] but cant find
where i could attach?
Any help truely appreciated

I am very dissapointed ,all i get is its my settings causing the problem.
It is not ;I can send and receive emails its only after resising this
dratted exchange wizard comes up.
I notice the more simple questions get lots of replys. My more perculiar one
is ignored .I am more than dissapointed in the moderaors lack of interest.
when the wizard open it says in my explorer.exe file. just tell me how to get
rid.?

Note that this is an end-user to end-user newsgroup. All people who are
replying here are not being employed by Microsoft and do this in their own
free time. That said; I do take holidays like I did last week.

You should better rephrase "simple questions get lots of replies" to "more
clearly stated questions get lots of replies"
Reread your own initial post like you were to read the post as someone who
tries to help you troubleshoot it. Does it make perfect sense to you? Note
that we cannot look over your shoulder and we don't know all the
configuration details of your computer and we cannot dig around on it trying
to find out your issue. If you have a hard time describing it, taking
screenshots and posting them on a website might help.

If you want direct and dedicated support to troubleshoot your issue, you
should contact your local Microsoft Support office.
