New Windows server connection problem

I am having the same problem that Steve posted on 1/24/2007. I have a new
website to upload to a new server and I cannot connect. I am trying to
connect through FrontPage or SharePoint services (the same as the other
websites that I have and which are working), but when I enter the username
and password and click OK, the same screen comes up, except with the username
as www.mysite.com/username and the password filled in. When I click OK, the
same screen comes up, and so on and so on... This is a new "Windows Server"
rather than a Linus server which Microsoft isn't supporting any more with FP
extensions. The server is apparently set up with FP extensions installed. I
am using FP2003.
Any help would be appreciated. (Please keep it simple - I don't speak
computerese.)
Thanks

I guess my question is: Is there is different way to connect to a 'Windows
Server" than to a Linux server? I don't really know what a "Windows Server"
is. Do I have some setting wrong on the FP2003 program?
Thanks

There is no difference in how you would connect, as long as you use the same connection type on both
(FTP or http)
