New window links not opening

Thanks for the suggestions to my query. I am afraid that I can't even use
the reply function of the newsgroup to answer the posts.

Well . . . actually nothing has worked.

When I click Run and enter "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" I am told it succeeded, and
that was the case for all the others in the list: oleaut32, shell32, etc.,
EXCEPT "msjava.dll" which could not be found. Could that mean it may be a
Java problem?

When I tried "msconfig" and then "Expand File" in order to restore the
"oleaut32", I was never able to find it on the installation CD by browsing.
A lot of files that showed up when I scanned the file contents (a choice on
the CD itself along with install the syetem, etc.) never showed up when I
browsed on the "Restore From" window.

And the other suggestion: Tools/Folder Options/File Types doesn't show up
anyplace under my Explorer, at least Folder Options doesn't.

If it's a matter of those registry values not being present, I don't really
know where to find the registry values folder.

So I'm thinking I might just have to re-install the system and start from
scratch.

Thanks for trying to help.

Hi J-Joe :)

Likely you don't have MS Java installed. Try installing the MS Java or Sun
Java and see if it helps:

Download MS Java here
http://www.microsoft.com/java/
or
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=232803

or...

Download the J2SE 5.0 JRE here: It will work as well
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
