I have a home-user who has been using the default Administrator account for
all of her needs. Everything was fine until she got put into Safe Mode for
some reason and created a new user.

When she logged on with her new user, she found that all of her files were
not where she put them. Obviously, they are in the Administrator areas, as I
showed her. However, when we logged in other Safe Mode in the Administrator
account, we were not able to delete her new user account. Any reason for
this?

As soon as you create an account that is a member of the
administrators group the built-in Administrator account goes
back into hiding which is right where it belongs. The fact of
the matter is that you don't want to delete her new account.
She shouldn't be using the built-in account for anything other
than an emergency.

In order to give her access to her old files and settings you
need to do the following:
Create a third account which is a Computer Administrator. Call
it whatever you want because you're going to delete it once
this procedure is complete.
Log on with this new admin account and follow the procedure
outlined in this article to copy the contents of the
Administrator profile into her user account:

Good luck

Thanks. I was pretty sure this was the only option. I was hoping for an
easy way out for this user.
