New user set up and logon very very slow

I've set up a new user on an existing XP Pro/SP2 PC on a Windows Server 20003
network. Set up in the usual way on the server. When she logs on, it takes
up to six or seven minutes before it clears through. Once logon on, all
seems okay. If the previous user logs on, using the same PC, it is as quick
as I would expect.

I’ve studied the set up but can’t find anything out the ordinary.

Any clues what and where I should be looking, please?

Try disabling the "Webclient" service on the Client.
