New to FrontPage 2003

Hi again
This morning I sent a message and was disappointed that after just checking the discussions it did not appear. I wonder if my question was so stupid that it was deleted. I am going to attempt to get my answer again just in case my message was never received. I have never worked with FP2003 or any web design program for that matter. I am trying to figure out if it would be best for me to edit/update my existing site or bite the bullet and create my own. The person who created my site sent me the files so I have that option. I, like the person in the discussion "How Does This All Work", am struggling to figure this all out even with the research that I have done. I almost bought the book "FrontPage 2003 for Dummies" but thought I would check to see if other publications might be better. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That would be very unusual, unless the mesage looked like spam
or contained some offensive remark. But I doube either of those
in your case.
I am going to attempt to get my answer again just in case my
message was never received. I have never worked with FP2003
or any web design program for that matter. I am trying to figure
out if it would be best for me to edit/update my existing site or
bite the bullet and create my own. The person who created my
site sent me the files so I have that option.

This is entirely at your discretion. If you like the existing site and
only want to make minor changes, there's no need to start from
scratch. Just copy all the files and folders into some location on
your disk, then in FP2003 choose Open Site from the File menu
and specify that location. If FrontPage asks whether to add its
own information to the site, respond Yes.

But if you don't like the old site, then start from scratch. For example,
choose New from the File menu, and then in the New task pane, click
More Web Site Templates.
I, like the person in the discussion "How Does This All Work",
am struggling to figure this all out even with the research that I
have done.

Developing a Web site, like designing a billboard or writing a poem,
requires many skills, not all of which are software skills. My best advice
is simply to acknowledge this and then keep working.
I almost bought the book "FrontPage 2003 for Dummies" but
thought I would check to see if other publications might be better.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I usually recommend the books from the list below.
