new scanner operates only from Admin account

I installed a new HP scanner and it works fine when I'm logged in as
Adminstrator.
When logged in as Limited Account User, the scanner opens and presents
options for file type, file name, save to location, but will not scan.
Using XP-Home SP3
Can you help me to get the scanner to work for all users?

I found the solution - HP must have a slight glitch in the install
procedure. I did a registry edit to permissions and all is now OK.

For the benefit of other posters (who might use Google in an attempt to
resolve their identical problem), would you mind posting the two key
elements to this issue:
a) The exact scanner model
b) The registry hack you had to apply

This was for a HP Scanjet G3110.
The registry needed to be modified from the Administrator account:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Hewlett-Packard. Right Click the
Hewlett-Packard folder and select Permissions - Change Every User to Full
Control. Click APPLY and yer outta there!
Of course --- first backup the registry.
