new programs

If i want to download a new program how will other user
accounts have use of it. If this is possible how is it
accomplished. I've had to download aol instant messenger
under each user account.

Have you checked start/ all programs? When you install a new program it
should be there for the other accounts. From there the other users can
create a shortcut to their desktop if they chose.
