"New programs installed" pop up message

I recently re-installed my Lexmark X83 all-in-one drivers
in my Windows XP-based desktop and although both printer
and scanner perform satisfactorily, I have encountered
the following nagging problem: Since re-installation
the "New Programs Installed" pop up message continues to
appear whenever I click on the "Start" button in order to
gain access to the "All Programs" menu. Concomitantly,
the Lexmark X83 menu item is highlighted in yellow and,
within it, the Twain driver sub-menu item is likewise
highlighted in yellow. Since re-installation I have used
both printer and scanner numerous times and yet the "New
Programs Installed" pop up message continues to appear.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent the
nagging "New Programs Installed" pop up message from
appearing whenever I click on the "Start" button. Any and
all suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Jose:
Try this...Right-click the Start button. Click Properties>Start
Menu>Customize>Advanced. Uncheck Highlight Newly Installed Programs. OK your
way out.
