New programs instaled

This has started some days ago.
Everytime I start Windows XP and click the start bar, a dialogue box is
always appearing saying: "New programs instaled". The problem is that I
haven't instaled anything. Before, when I instaled something, this message
appeared but then it would never appear until I install something again. Now
it appears everytime I turn my pc on.
Does this have something to do with Windows Updates?

P.S.:Sorry for the bad spelling.

Is there anything in your start menu you do not recognize?
