I need to re-install windows 2000 professional on my
laptop. I cannot find my original program disk. I still
have my license. I need to get a replacement. Can this
be done?

You didn't state what brand of laptop that you own but
many vendors can supply a replacement disk for a price.
You may want to try contacting your vendor. If you have
the CD key and the original license agreement (for your
protection against the software police)any W2K Pro CD
will let you reinstall or repair your installation. But
I am not telling you to copy another CD illegally. First
try contacting the laptop vendor for a replacement CD. I
know Compaq used to offer this service before they joined
HP. IBM also had a program to replace lost or damaged
media at one time too. I don't know if any of these or
other vendors have similar programs in-place today.

Good luck.
