New Problem with IE6 and Passport after latest security patch

I've just installed Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6
Service Pack 1 (KB890923) and now hotmail is complaining that "Your Web
browser options are currently set to disable cookies. To use .NET Passport,
you must enable cookies".

I've reduced the privacy to accept all cookies and reduced the security low
but these don't help!

Can anybody make any other suggestions to get IE working with hotmail again?

This is a Win2k system with all the latest hotfixes/security fixes thanks to
automatic updates.
