New Printer "appears" after start up

I don't know whether this is an XP problem or an HP problem.

I have an HP Deskjet 1220C installed on my computer which is running XP SP1.

A few weeks ago I noticed in "Printers and Faxes" that in addtion to the HP
Deskjet 1220C, there is also "HP Deskjet 1220C (Copy 1)". It is also
visible when trying to print a document as one of the available printers.

If I delete it, it reappears the next time I boot up the computer.

I don't think it's doing any harm, but I'm curious to know why it's doing
it, and if there's something I can do to stop it.

You probably had the printer at some time on a different USB port, so
when you boot up on this one New Hardware thinks you are installing a
second printer.. Check (right click - Properties) to find the one that
works on a test and set it as default; you *could* then delete the
other, but on the whole I would leave it
