New Motherboard

Hallo!

I built in a new motherboard and I want to take over my
old programs and settings, because they are many.
How can I transfer these old settings?
With the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard?
But the are on the same computer! I could clone them to
another partition. But does this work in this way?

An additional hint:

I have a student version which does not support the 'R'
option at startup.
