I have read several posts about this patch, and was very unsure if I should
install it. I read through all the 'read more' type notes, and after
questioning someone from another pc forum, I decided to install it and have
had no trouble at all.
I did learn a different way to download and install patches, updates, &
hotfixes, though. I use the Windows Catalog via the Windows Update. This
gives you the option to save everything that you download to a separate
location before installing, as some of the downloads don't give that option
if you access the Update site. Then , if you ever have pc troubles, you
have all your updates at the touch of a folder, or wherever you decide to
place them.

No problem that I have noticed.

I is always recommended that you set a new System Restore point before
installing any update. This gives you a good safety net.
