You added hardware (memory) and since then the computer has become
unstable. Solution: Take out the added memory to see if stability returns
and/or check that the RAM is fully seated.

If stability returns when the added memory is fully seated, you're set. If
stability only returns when the added ram is removed, it is defective, a
mismatch to what is already in there, or the wrong kind for your system.
Check the system's manual for info about which memory types and
configurations are supported.

There is a also the chance that the RAM is the right type and should work.
It may be incompatible with the memory that is already installed. If this
is the case, the old needs to be removed for the new to work but a couple
of 128 sticks = 256MB and you already have that installed.

Go to www.crucial.com and check out the detailed specs for the RAM
that they recommend for your specific make and model of computer or
motherboard.

Compare those specs with that of your 128 mb modules and you will
probably find some differences, which would explain why your 128 mb
modules will not work properly, at least not when the 256 mb module is
also installed.

Good luck
