new MB HD light shuts down

guys I don't know what's going on here. with my old MB as long as i had
my pc on I will have the power and HD light on. now with my new board
the power stays on but the HD light goes out after awhile and then my pc
just goes black. it only seem to happen when I rdp in though but when
i'm on my pc things seems ok. I checked my control panel and checked the
power everything is on to never go on standby or to shut down.

The HD light is the hard drive activity light. It only needs to be on while
some thing is access the hard drive (read or write.)
