New mail causes duplicate recipients

Windows Mail - Duplicate Recipients

When I use a contact software that creates an email, Windows Mail pulls up
duplicates of all my recipients. Does anyone know why this is happening?
The duplicates are only happening when the Windows mail opens the new email.
 
Explain what you mean by "contact software". Perhaps that software isn't
fully Vista compatible.
