Hey guys, I was wondering if you ccould help me, i'm looking to buy a new laptop, atm I've got a HP pavilion with 17" screen.
I'm hoping to get something with a simerler size screen and a good sized sreen.
It needs to be able to play World Of Warcraft no problem, along with a few other games at the same time
Don't really have much of an issue with price, but ofc nothing too expensive.
Thanks much
Seething

Lol ok, urm tbh i'm rather clueless when it comes to computers
But summit that meets the recommended system requirments for WoW (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21054&rhtml=true?rhtml=)
did't say exactly 17" but summit around the same size would b nice
as for price, summit reasonable, I think once we start goin over £800 I might start havin second thoughts :p but am open
Pavilion was £350 so am sure you guys could find me summit better :p

If you really want a decent lappy then you might want to consider this..

There all from PCworld so you should be able to go and have a look at them in the flesh..Should all be able to play Wow comfortably aswell..

Dell has a Studio 17 for £549..http://configure.euro.dell.com/dell...en&m_30=111789&oc=N0173503&rbc=N0173503&s=dhs

That Tosh has onboard graphics Flopp's, all the ones I have linked to have there own dedicated ATI or Nvidia graphics cards, which will be needed if you want to play the likes of WoW..

Which just goes to show I know bugger-all about laptops, lol :D

I thought WoW wasn't that graphically demanding?

I've never owned a laptop, don't really need one (until now, oddly enough) and don't know a great deal about them.

I bought two Toshiba's for my twin daughters to use at Uni 18 months ago from the site I linked to and they're happy with them.

And that is my sum experience. Apart from what I read here of course.

Sorry if I steered a wrong 'un there, I'm really not having a good evening here one way or another, must swat up on memory timings too ;)

Yes if you want to go down that route you could always ask for Xp as your operating system rather than Vista, Lots of retailers will give that option but not all.
Failing that you could always buy a copy of XP and install it yourself..
