new ip address, and webserver goes haywire...

Am running a win2000 server on a relatively small network comprised of two
winNT servers (ugh!), and 20 odd clients. This win2k server is the ftp
server for our network, and is also running IIS in order to provide outlook
web access. Everything was running smoothly until a new Lynksys router was
installed. Suddenly, after installing this new router, outlook web access
can't be accessed via Internet Explorer. Also, when I try to browse the
contents of this win2k server in windows explorer, a message appears saying
"this server not configured to allow this transaction". Finally, what is
really strange is the fact that the win2k server is set up to use a static
IP address, yet the lynksys router keeps on reporting a different ip address
for this win2k server. Pinging the static IP address of the win2k server
shows 4 replies, yet pinging the ip address that the router thinks is
assigned to the win2k server receives no replies.

Also, when things are running smoothly, outlook web access can be accessed
from an internal client as well by entering this url into the address bar:
http://ftpserver/exchange, however when this new routher is attached, this
isn't possible.

Any insights into why this problem is occuring, and the possible fixes
involved would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

If the Linksys router has DHCP features, you probably need to turn them off.
Sounds like you're getting confusion from having multiple DHCP sources on
your network.
