New instances of Internet Explorer

I have an annoying problem. It's not a huge thing, just something that I
would like to change if possible. You know how when you click on a link (or
right-click and click "Open in New Window") a new Internet Explorer window
will open up with the new page displayed? Is there any way to make this
window open already Maximized or Full-Screen instead of in a smaller
("Restore Down"ed) window than the one it opened up from? I would really
appreciate any input from anybody who can help.

The second window size is inherited from the last opened. If it is small,
this generally is generated from pop-ups. To correct, drag the window out
using the double arrows and then use File/Close.
