New Installations Window XP Professional

I am trying to install WXP as a dual boot with W2K Pro
which is currently running on my computer. I have an
completely open & formated 80gig HD ready and witing for
the installation. BUT - I start installation choosing the
complete installation and select drive during setup. The
computer reboots, I get the select W2K or WXP installation
and I select XP, it goes through file copying and advises
it loading XP, I get the screen 3 option screen, install,
repair, or F3, I select install. I then get a screen that
advises that the installation cannot find CD ROM, press F3
to exit. This computer is currently running W2K,
1.7celleron with 512RAM, 2x30gig HD partitioned at about
10&20gig partitions each, the vacant 80gig HD, a USB2
200gig external HD, a CDRW & DVD and 250Mg ZIP. I have
set BIOS to CDROM for all 3 boot options and tried the
installation disk in both CD drives - same results. I
have gone to download.com and made the 6 floppy boot disks
and it will pick them up, but then I get the same sequence
as above. Can anyone shed any light on this problem?
Obviously both CD's work fine in W2K (the installation
disk was read to get started). I am at a loss to solve
this - PLEASE ADVISE any suggestions?
Thanks,
KayGee

The only suggestion I can offer at this point is to copy the I386 folder from the CD to the Win2K partition and run WINNT32.EXE from there. You can always change the source path in the registry later.
