New Installation XP restarting

Hello,

I am trying to install Win XP Pro afresh. However Windows keeps restarting
after loading drivers. It begins again by asking the initial questions
whether you want to install scsi and the rest.
Then it goes again -Starting ........... - and then starts again loading
drivers and endless.
Am I mising something somewhere. This has never happened with the same cd.

Have you turned off any antivirus scanning in the BIOS? Disconnected all
peripherals? Are installing clean? If the answer to all of that is
"yes", then it is probable that you have some hardware failure. To test
your hardware, first run a RAM test with something like Memtest86
(www.memtest86.com). Allow the test to run for a while. If you get
errors, replace the RAM. If the RAM is OK, test your hard drive with a
diagnostic utility from the drive mftr.
