New InetSpeak variant

Hi,

There's apparently a new variant of InetSpeak, (the
bastards). In addition to MS AntiSpyware, I've tried
several suggested apps including SpyBot and AdAware. Most
don't even find it. MS finds it and says it's removing it,
but it comes right back. I've tried killing all non-
essential processes and I've tried it in safe mode as
Administrator - nothing works. Anyone else? Does anyone
know where to find info on the latest variants? Google
ain't helpin'.

Is there a way to get this info to MS? Why don't they have
a way of sending a submission of new threats and problems?

Go to Tools > Suspected Spyware Report... to submit a
report to Microsoft.

Have you tried running a full system scan in Safe Mode.
If not run one with all three AS apps, only run one scan
at a time though.

Also go to c:\windows\prefetch and shred any files whose
filenames contain InetSpeak.

Tom,

Thanks for trying, but alas this is just another of the
dozen or so pages I've already found which are outdated.
None of the files or references are valid. As I say,as of
today - 7/12/2005, this must be a new variant.

Let's try this: Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup;
Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet Files C:\Documents
and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ;
Run the scan while in safe mode;
If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any
BHO's that you don't recognize.
