New HDD and Vista OS

My existing HDD is noisy and bough a new one.
Not sure how to transfer all the Data from the old HDD to the new one.
Well, the boot sector is the problem ....

Any ideas?

Use something like Acronis True Image to make an image of your old
drive.
Put the new drive in the PC, boot from the Acronis CD, and restore the
image you made to the new drive.

Have a look at the HD Manufacturer's website.
They normally have free software to do it.

Cloning, as you say Back Vista version is the better option and I agree
Acronis True Image is well worth looking at. Of course, with some 'retail'
boxes (as opposed to OEM), the disk manufacturer includes cloning software
and, in most cases, this will be a 'lighter' version of Acronis; so if the
disk manufacturer is using Acronis then you can't get a better
recommendation than that for this particular software. I personally use
Acronis True Image all the time.
