New Hardware Wizard

7/17/03 Even though my HP Deskjet 882c printer
works fine with Win XP, every time I bootup, the "New
Hardware Installation Wizard" opens up telling me it
has "found HP 882c for installing." Anyone know how to
stop this?
Trying to reinstall the printer fails. XP has the driver
embedded in the XP software, but it "can't be found."
Win XP rejects the CD that came with the printer.
Beats me?

Yes, that is exactly what it is doing. The problem is to
stop it.
