New Harddrive

I have just enstalled a new larger hard drive and wish to
use my previous main drive just for storage.
Having now installed XP on my new drive how can I remove
the old operating system from the other drive as
formatting the drive does not do this?

Why doesn't formatting do this?

In any event, in addition to formatting you could delete the partition on
the previous drive.
