I would like to replace my small hard drive with a 120GB
one. Is there a way that I can copy everything over to it.
The smaller one is a 20GB one partitioned into 2 drives.
The XP OS is only on drive C: all other applications are
on D: Thanks in advance.

.
PS. Forgot to say that I am upgrading the Motherboard too.

After you install the new drive, put the old one in as a
slave and it will show up as the next available drive
letter. You can copy all your files over this way and
format the drive so that you can have an additional 20GB
of disk space.

Ghost or www.acronis.com

Many new HDs come with such a image program.

That requires an OS reinstall. Imaging does NOT.

Unless your new MB is very similar to the old one, XP
will not boot properly. You will have to do an in-place
upgrade, meaning installing everything all over.
Conclusion: Just copy data over after XP fresh install.

Hope this helps
