Now if i am gone for a bit, when i get back it has gone into lockup mode and
i have to put in the password to get logged back on. This is a common
machine that shouldn't be locking anyone out because other people don't know
the password and i don't want to make it public. How do i just boot up the
computer to the desktop and not have it go off line and lock up? Thanks.

Change your settings in the area of your Screen Saver (Right click
Desktop/Properties/ScreenSaver), which will be ticked saying "On Resume
Password Protect" or similar, untick it, and it should sort your problems.

Found the setting in power/advanced tab on the screen saver window. Thank
you for the help. I tryed to find the clue to where the command was on the
help screen and didn't have any luck finding it that way... charlie
