What is the procedure for re-installing FP2003 if you replace the hard drive
on your computer and you are basically starting over. I recently got (for
christmas) a 120gb hard drive and would like to know if there is anything
special I have to do.

Just re-install or you could purchase a application such as Acronis Migrate Easy which would allow
you to transfer the entire content of your old drive to your new drive without have to re-install
anything or reactivate Windows or Office applications, etc.

Looks like you answered my question.....that acronis sounds like the way to
go. Thanks much.

It is a great application, I use it all the time since I swap HD a lot between machines.

I expect you just need to reinstall FP 2003 from the CD. as you would with any
other software. You can't move it as it is tied to the registry; so just
reinstall from the FP CD.

Using Migrate Easy the entire Windows install with all application can be move to another HD, but
the new HD must be installed in the same PC with no change in hardware, except the HD.

Make sure you back up all your data and especially anything to do with
websites and any thing you used to design it.

Don't fret. I've done that and was very pleased that Microsoft
allowed me to reinstall the frontpage software with little extra
hassle. I did it online and didn't even have to talk to a human.
