new hard drive & formatting systems

I want to install a 80gb new hard disk in my computer. My old 30gb one will
be used as a backup drive. The 30 gb one is formatted as FAT32 and is
running XP. I want the new drive to be formatted as NTFS. Will I have a
problem using two different formatting systems on two different drives or
should I convert the 30gb one to NTFS before I start. I will be doing a
drive to drive copy instead of a fresh install on the new drive.

Thanks for your help.

If you partition and format the drive under Win XP it will
create it as an NTFS drive. There should be no problem
with the existing FAT drive.
