HI,

My hard drive crashed and I had to change. I installed XP home using
Dell's CD and installed all the drivers in the Dell CD.

But I am not ab;e to connect to the Internet. I have a cable modem.
When I start IE, I see a message detecting proxy settings and then
stops.

I have a Dell 600, Broadcomm ethernet card, XP home SP2, Time warner
cable.

Pls help!

Arvind

I also see a limited or no connectivity message on my ethernet card.

I've tried unistalling/reinstalling driver, repairing ethernet card
etc. etc. Nothing works!

Hi Nass,

Thanks for the link. I got fed up last night and turned the cable
modem on and off around 5-6 times. At the end, everything suddenly
styarted to work, I have no idea what was wrong for a couple of hours
in between!!
