New emails doubleclicked automatically minimise/move to back

reading this forum there seems to have been a recent explosion of users
experiencing the same problem as me: i.e. when doubleclicking on new email it
opens behind the inbox instead of in front. this is very annoying. Is there
no-one from microsoft who can help us poor souls?, thanks, GLC (using Outlook
2003 with a Microsoft Exchange Server)
 
also, the inbox seems to refresh randomly, pushing itself to the front and
always when I'm just in the middle of typing something, causing me to stop
typing and minimise the inbox before I can carry on. this is even more
annoying. thanks, GLC
