New DST causing time problem in Calendar

Ann-Marie

Receiving a meeting invite e-mail for a meeting that has been set for a time
period between March 9th to the end of the month, the time shown in the
e-mail is 1 hour earlier than was scheduled by the organizer. Any
suggestions on how to fix this problem?

On March 11, 2007 Daylight Savings time will kick in for most of the U.S. and
all of Canada. Optional patches are available for Windows XP systems, but are
not automatic.

You must apply the Windows XP patch first, available here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...BC-FE8F-4BFC-8667-C1D46662B5B7&displaylang=en

The Office patch to accommodate DST changes (Microsoft Office Outlook Tool:
Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook) is available at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...33-B9C8-4652-9DD8-AE0F1AF62568&displaylang=en
and is only applicable to Office 2000, 2002 and 2003.

Thanks, Kathleen.
I'm putting it to the test and I'll let you know the results. We did try and
run the second link, The Time Zone Data Update tool, but it didn't work. I
will now try the Windows XP Patch.

I'm curious as to how you are going to test the DST patches, I want to make
sure these patches are full-proof and I need a way to test.

Thank you very much in advance

I have a test lab because everything has to be validated. If you haven't
tested yet, you're leaving it pretty late. I have not run across any
noticeable issues as yet, but I haven't rolled the patches out yet either.

PS there is no such thing as fool-proof, there isn't a way to account for
every possible variable.
