For no reason I can find an 'H' dvd drive showed up in explorer. I have 2
hard drives 1 is partitioned as C and D. The other is single partition E.
My dvd writer is F and my CD writer is G. I have a scandisk attached and is
labeled as I.
Where does H come from and how to I remove it?
Thanks

In Device manager, it shows as AXV CD/DVD ROM SCSI cdrom Device. I don't
have a scsi device in my system. Should I uninstall it?
Thanks again

Did you install a program that creates a virtual drive?

One where you can mount your own cd/dvd images? It sounds like that is what
you are seeing.

I did try out an external hard drive but it automatically gave it it's own
drive letter.
I really don't understand why the virtual drive would show up in hardware
devices but then I also don't understand virtual drives.

DaemonTools, Nero ImageDrive, Alcohol 120 all can install virtual drives.
It is most likely that it has come from that.

Thanks again for your help. Don't have these installed but I uninstalled
this device and all is good now.
