New Defs 5689

Another update this evening. One computer updated automatically to 5687
even though I had already manually updated to that level the other day. My
computer updated to 5689 manually this evening...................hmmmmmm.

You are seeing the appearance bug. The automatic update took it to 5689.

You can prove that by doing a file, check for updates, and watching the
prompts to note that no actual update takes place. When that finishes, go
to Help, About, and it'll show 5689.

For me the hmmmmm is about the quick version update. Makes me wonder if
there was a problem with the last set of defs. But I shouldn't be
skeptical--maybe they finally got the removal correct for all known VX2
variants!

Or "something" even nastier than VX2 ? ;)

Yesterday downloaded the 5689 manually and waited till it
was installed. Today when tried updating manually, the
same steps were repeated. When repeated again immediately,
downloading was skipped but 'installing' was repeated....
Again when tried, 'installing' was repeated....
