New browser window

How do I set the size of a new browser window when
clicking a a link. Ex: In Google I have preferences set
to open any link in a new browser window. How can I set
the size of this window. Now it is a full screen and I
want it smaller so I can still see my Google page.
Thanks for any help.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the size you want.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.
