New AVG plug in for Windows Mail ?

Starting today... every time I boot to Vista... AVG (free) gives me an error
message... "E-mail Scanner is not fully functional". The detailed error
message at the bottom of the page reads "E-Mail Scanner" "Personal E-mail
Scanner is not configured".
The "About AVG Free Edition" reads release date 6/25/2007 12:20 PM".
Searching the Grisoft website:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5499/lng/us/tpl/v5
it says:
"If you are using any of the e-mail programs that are supported by AVG Free
Edition (MS Outlook, The BAT!), the Personal E-mail Scanner is installed
needlessly because mail is scanned by AVG Free Edition directly by a special
plugin developed for these e-mail programs. In that case you do not need the
Personal E-mail Scanner, you should uninstall it. Uninstallation process is
described here."

Here is:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5465/lng/us/tpl/v5
and reads:

If you want to install or uninstall AVG Free Edition components (e-mail
plug-in for example), you have to run AVG Free Edition installation using a
downloaded installation file from here.
Running the installation process recognises the existence of installed AVG
Free Edition and the Add/Remove Components option is offered.
Reinstalling and using the Add/Remove option is necessary for example for
the case that there is a new supported e-mail client (MS Outlook/The Bat!)
installed on the PC after the installation of AVG Free Edition.

I dual boot to XP (OE) and Vista and only get this error message in Vista.
Any others out there with this issue?

When I used AVG on Vista, I used the option during the install process
NOT to install any email scanner. Email scanning causes nothing but problems.
