I am trying to set up a network between laptop Xp and Pc
XP using 604 Dlink router. I have used the wizard to no
avail. Computers don't see each other. Pc can ping the
laptop and itself, laptop can ping itself but not the PC.
All firewalls and popups are disabled that I know of. Can
anyone help me out?
 
Make sure are all on same network or in same workgroup.
Next run ipconfig /all on each machine.. note the
readings.. compare and make sure they are the same except
ip address should be just a few numbers different in last
octet. If not, are they staticly addressed or DHCP
served? If DHCP then do ipconfig /flushdns and then
ipconfig /registerdns this might solve issues... then
recheck ipconfig /all on each box... good luck..
