networking XP to MCE

I have a Work Windows XP Pro laptop that is part of our company domain. I
want to purchase a Home Windows MCE 2005 computer and be able to share
information between the two. Will having my Work laptop being part of a
domain restrict me or cause issues setting this up?"

Ken,

A computer running XP MCE 2005 can't join a domain.

So, you just need to setup a local account on each computer, and activate it for
network access.

Just leave the laptop on the domain - you will not gain anything by removing it
from the domain, and your network admins won't appreciate it when you take it
back to work.
