Cannot see MCE desktop from other computers on my LAN

I have a home LAN with 4 computers attached to a Linsys router and then a
cable modem using CAT5 cabling. All 3 computers run XP. My desktop runs XP
MCE. My son's computer runs XP home. My wife's computer and my laptop both
run XP Pro. I have Zonealarm on my laptop but believe I have put the IP
addresses for the router and the other computers in the "trusted
zone"properly. I have no software firewall on the other computers and have
disabled Windows firewall on all 4 computers.

Using "My Network Places":
- my desktop (MCE) can view all the other computers.
- each of the other computers can view each other but not my desktop (MCE)

Can someone tell me why I cannot see my desktop from my other compters?

Thank you in advance.
Bob

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are other
possibilities too. Read this article with an open mind.

Or, we could look at "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each computer,
and diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):

Thanks Chuck. There is a lot in your suggestions to follow up on. I am
still in the process.
