OK, Hers's what I've got.
I have a XP Pro server wich had (8) windows 98/95
networked.
we swaped out the 95/98 computers with new XP Pro
computers and not they are SLOW pulling up files off the
server.
I tryed switching the network card speeds from AUTO to
100/Half & Full with no luck!

Any Ideas?

Brent

Make sure you strip out all other protocols except TCP/IP.
A homogeneous XP network runs very fast on pure TCP/IP
than a mixed protocol/OS network.

Also, make sure all your network cards are set to the same
duplex (as well as speed). This will decrease traffic
because the cards don't have to autonegotiate every few
seconds. I suggest you set all the cards to 10Mb, half
duplex and test connectivity. If everything goes well,
then up it to 100Mb, half duplex.

Another thing you may want to check is that the ports on
your switch/hub are set to the corresponding speed and
duplexing as the nics that are plugged in to them.

Good luck.
