Networking with XP & Vista computers

My son is looking for a new computer and almost all of them seem to come
with Vista, which he really doesn't want yet. Has anyone run into any
problems hooking up a Vista computer to a network with XP computers?

My home network here consists of the three computers in a workgroup: one
running WIndows XP Professional, one running Windows XP Home, and one
running Windows Vista Ultimate. No problems at all.

Dell just added XP as an option on some computers that they had gone
to Vista-only with.

Essentially, yes, but some details are a little different. Mostly you just
follow the prompts.

By the way, how do you like Vista so far. Any problems?

I've been running the released version since November 18. Although, as with
anything new, it took a little getting used to, once I got the hang of it, I
like it a lot. It has been remarkably stable and problem-free. All of my
applications run without a problem. The only minor issues were (not
surprisingly) that a few older utilities didn't work.
