How do I remove an old "Workgroup"

My son got a new PC with Vista installed. It is very hard for me to find
tools, navigate etc etc on Vista. I think I messed up trying to do the
network wizard (from made disc) said "error try again", now there are two
icons in his"View workgroup Computers". He can "see" our shared folders from
his PC (Vista) but I can't see his shared folders on my pc (XP) and I get a
"permission denied" error when I click his pc icon in "View Workgroup Comps"

is it possible to network Vista with XP? how do I delete network group and
start over?

Hi
Make sure that all the computers are assigned to the same workgroup.
Leave the Extra ion alone, after few hours and few booting it would go away.
There is No start over make sure that every thing is correctly set and it
would re-organize itself after few boots.
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.
