Networking with hub

I have set up a network with a hub. Here is the setup
from the wall to a cable router to the hub out to the two
computers. Both computers get an internet connection but
cannot see each other. Both belong to the same workgroup
and internet firewall is turned off. I used XP's network
setup wizard. So why can the computers not see each
other?

Run the Network Setup Wizard again, and tell it that the computers
connect to the Internet through a residential gateway (router). If
you tell it that they connect through a hub, it will block file and
printer sharing.
